Anyone have a windshield contact in the Calgary area for a Defender? Skeptical about buying one and having it shipped unless anyone has had a positive experience with a supplier? Thanks!

An auto glass place and cut one for much less them buying a purpose built one. Assuming you are talking about a real defender with a flat windshield.

Yes, for a real Defender (1984). It gets a little more complex, the main issue is the vehicle is currently not road worthy and any place willing to cut me a windshield needs it for measurements. I was hoping to get one off the shelf, which seems increasingly unrealistic so might have to bite the bullet and pay for a tow.

Make yourself a plexiglass one to get to the glass shop?

Take the windshield off and then take it to the glass shop. Just a few bolts.

Should have been clearer, I didnt have any glass in there to start with, I'm the process of restoring a Defender that was a chassis/engine/bulkhead with not much else.

I tried explaining that I could easily remove the window frame, they didnt seem to understand and wanted the vehicle. Alas, bought one from 3 Brothers in Ontario as they had in stock. Delivered for $400, next one will be cheaper now I have something to copy. Thanks all!
