Come out for a day of fun and learning in the sand even if you don't have a winch (we need to have some casualties to recover  ;D)

This clinic will equip you with the knowledge and confidence to operate a winch safely, protecting both you and those around you.

We will be covering a range of topics including:
•   Identifying the health and safety requirements for winch operation and be able to carry out a risk assessment – including emergency procedures
•   Recognise and understand safe working practices, safety zones, and procedures for winching
•   Working signals and be able to control an operation
•   Plan and set up basic winching systems for a range of winches
•   Understanding the basics of mechanical advantage (use of pulleys) and how this can be used to facilitate a winching operation
•   Practicing different winching operations: straight line; offset and double-line pulls applicable to the type of winch being used

Meet at Humpty's Family Restaurant - 8815 - 101 St Fort Sask for breakfast at 8:00,or head directly to the sand pits for a 9:45(ish) start.

Directions: Hwy 21 North, thru Fort Sask, Hwy 21 becomes Hwy 15 East. Turn left (North) onto Secondary Hwy 830 (RR210), turn right on TWP Rd 565. Look for the Land Rovers at the side of the road just past the lake on your right.

Bring appropriate clothing, snacks, drinks, a good pair of work gloves, and sand ladders if you have them.

Let me know if you plan on attending, how many will be in your group, meeting at Humpty's or at the sand pits, and if you have a winch.
