Alright, I'm at a loss, 07 LR3, V8. I developed a shudder between 20 and 60km/h, it shudders on light throttle/causing throttle if im giving it some good throttle it goes away, also goes away when I let off the throttle. It is also intermittent, I did 3 test drives yesterday, it did it consistently during 1 of the 3 drives. Best I can describe it, its like driving over rumble straps, everything is shaking.
List of things iv checked and cleared.
All wheel bearings, control arms, tie rods, tire balances, rear drive shaft. I used the gap tool to monitor rear diff temp, trans temp and torque converter. All Temps normal, and torque converter is opening and locking as it should.

I'm probably going to drop it off at a shop at this point has I haven't been able to figure it out, but if anyone has any ideas on things I can check, im open to ideas.
Unfortunately it's intermittent, so I can't force it to do it everytime, which makes diagnosing even harder

Went out and checked, all 4 cv axles have no play, no tears in the boots and no play in them that I can feel

When the actual joint starts to bind up they will vibrate under load. There may be no play and the boots look good but it may be internal. If the driveshaft is good there's not much that will vibrate under light load. It sounds like a cv shaft or driveline. Sometimes you have to pull them out and rotate the joint by hand

Chris

I'll try to get that done next week and pull the CV axles to check all the joints.
I did drop the rear drive shaft, that's pretty quick and easy, all those are good. Hopefully it'll be the first CV I check😅 hahaha

Hey Chris,

How did you make out with the intermittent shudder issue....?

cheers, Bill

Chris

No, it went away after I took a bunch of stuff off to check, I pulled the drive shafts, CVs, all felt fine, movement was normal, threw it all back together, now it's not shuddering. So I won't really be able to find or diagnose until it comes back unfortunately. Don't think I'll be able to find something that isn't there.

Chris

Found it. It broke, when I took it off a few months back it definitely wasn't snapped, maybe a had a small crack i didn't notice. Either way, it's fixed
