Greetings all,

I am pleased to announce the 2025 Sean Green memorial trials. This year they will be held on Saturday October the 4th at Lees place (formally the alberta safari park) last year's winner has been busy chasing down prizes and it is looking like there will be some great ones.

Earlier in the year a few club members were able to get out to lee's to open up a little more of the trail and I am hoping that with some assistance we may be able to open up a little more before the event.

If anyone is interested in lending a hand to open up the trail or helping out with set up could contact me directly we can work out a date before the event that works for everyone.and as usually if your planning on coming to the event please let me know what you will be driving and how many will be in your party so i can work on the food.

thanks everyone and hopefully i will see some of you at the september club meet

Good Afternoon, all the trials are getting closer. with that in mind this Saturday the 27th oct i would like to get some trail maintenance and may be a little course set up done i would like to meet out at lee's around 9.00am if those of you with chain saws and gas powered strummers could bring them that would be a great help. A large amount was done earlier in the year but we all know how fast the bush can grow so I am expecting to have a little more clean up. There is also the possibility of using some more of the area but we will need to see what we can access on the day. If anyone wants to meet up a little earlier to head un just let me know can always set off from one of the Timy's ( i am just waiting on a call back from Lee to confirm the timing. but this should work) can all those hoping to come to the maintenance let me know and also what equipment they are hoping to bring thanks

A bunch of folks were out at Lee's place on saturday clearing some of the trails and getting some gates set up for the upcoming trials sections.    We had a lot of fun and the weather couldn't have been any better.   We are going to have a lot of fun at the trials this weekend coming.

Our annual Sean Green Memorial Trial will be held this Saturday OCTOBER 4th.

Isaac or Dave will be sending out more details for the event later this week sometime....please stand by.

This is your opportunity to see what you and your trusty Landy can do.    It's a great deal of fun for driver and family.     The event is also posted on the clubs forum (found at www.alre.club/forum) so please send Dave or Isaac a note to let them know u are coming and with how many in your party so we can plan for food.

I hope to see you there😄

Cheers Bill

Thank you Dave and Issac for organizing a great SGMT. Excellent trials challenges and wonderful food. Appreciate Lee's hospitality at his farm. Look forward to seeing the pictures. Cheers

Well that was a real HOOT!   Perfect weather, great turn out, lots of laughs and great chance to catch up with friends.   The "blindfold driver challenge" was great fun!!!   Since Bert didn't have a front seat installed for the passenger I got to play "back seat driver" for him!   I'm pretty sure we hit every gate LOL!

You could hear the echo of "SHUNT!!!" yelled out all day long too...    And there should be lots of video, drone and pics to come.

Great to see Yoda & daughter from Med Hat, and John and Stacey come up from Calgary, make the drive up for the trails!!!

A special treat was watching a couple hundred 'Sand Hill Cranes' gather up a few hundred feet and work their way up to much higher altitudes before continuing on their migration.   It's the first time I've ever seen them so low.   Usually I hear the faint "cooing" noise over head but struggle to see them as they fly over 3500' up.

Once again David Brandson showed the group "how it's done' in his very tidy D90 tdi how it's done.  Some great skill there.

Well done folks!!!!!

Cheers, Bill

I've uploaded a few photos.  If you would like me to add them to the album, please send them to me or let me know where to get them.
