4wd and low range.

Good evening all. I'm looking for a little insight on my series 2A.

I was needing 4 low yesterday, i depressed my yellow knob and it held and i could use 4 high no problem. When i shifted into low range the knob popped back up. I thought that was strange so I tried pushing the yellow knob down again and it wouldnt latch. I shifted back to high range. Depressed the knob and it held. Shifted into low range and it popped back up. Am I missing something?

Working as intended, nothing wrong with it. Yellow gives 4 high, to get it out of 4 high you shift to low then back to high. Low is always 4x4, yellow knob should pop up when you put it in low.

Been there, done that and bought the T-shirt myself.  First time in a series I just sat and looked at all the levers and thought...."How the heck does all this work?"

A good friend has a giant piece of land not far from my place. Our kids run around on quads through his trails. I follow with snacks, drinks and a saw.
