Spruce island lake natural area

We had plans to go camping for the July long weekend but the fire in the area canceled those plans for us. I'm thinking of heading north of Westlock for some exploring. I've camped nearby and have done a bit of exploring in the area. There are abandoned roads, quad trails and cut lines in the area. Anyone interested? I may bring a tent for some crown land camping if there's enough to explore. Most likely just a day thing though.
