I agree, I know that some parts for my 97 are no longer available, I don't see it increasing in value.  While I like a manual transmission I'd be the only one in the family to drive it.  Outside of my budget for sure, I watched the videos on the Grenadier, I like it better than the Bollingermotors project (also outside of my budget).

Nothing wrong with an auto transmission. Those ZF units are pretty stout with plenty still around.  5 speed Standard is rarer and has some novelty value these days but not enough to pay $5K more for in my opinion.
