Title: Wet Sand Blasting
Post by: Alex C on April 10, 2022, 06:54 PM
I puschared a wet blast attachment for my pressure washer, very impressed with how easy it takes paont of Land rover parts

i have done 4 Wolf Rims, so they had a few coats of paint, i did a couple down to bear metal, and a couple where i took off the top layers

Rims took less than 5 min each, i did 4 with about 4 gallons of play sand.

I will be purchasing some 30 mesh sand and setting up a box/barrel to capture the media so that I can dry, sift and reuse the media

I am Running an Easy-Kleen  AS152E    these will be on sale April 12 to 24 worth every penny if you want a good pressure washer

For the wet blaster went with Valley Industries SBK-400, it says minimum flow 3.5 Gal/Min  but the 2.2 Gpm from the AS15E moves about a gallon of sand in 3 to 5 min https://www.valleyind.com/product/wet-sandblast-kit/

That's really neat! I haven't seen one that can be used with a pressure washer before.

That's amazing!  You have me very tempted.  Where did you get the wet blast attachment?

Very nice job.  It is also very tempting to buy a unit and do my own blasting but I can't really beat to process I have now.  I take my wheels to a blasting company and if they can keep them until a big job comes in, then it only costs me a dozen donuts.  A variety dozen is preferred.   ;D  If I can't wait then the cost is $250 per hour. :o
