Title: Defender td5 engine wiring loom routing
Post by: grizzlychicken on December 09, 2020, 09:38 AM
Hi guys,
So just trying to figure out where to reroute the engine wiring harness. Does it live on the chassis rail? Looks like it emerges between the intake manifold to wrap around the front of the engine but not sure if where it attaches and routes in relation to the heater pipes/ fuel cooler etc. any pics you have would really help.
Think I can figure out where it wraps around the front to the engine temp sensor onwards but not sure of its routing from the ecu to where it emerges between manifold inlets of prob cylinder 1/2.
I seem to remember a Manual type document with pictures of the electrical system but can't seem to find it!
If you have a td5 defender would love to see photos of your harness!
Thanks!

Ok think I have it sorted!

It looks like the engine harness then crosses the bell hosing to the left side of the vehicle, then follows the frame rail to then cross back over the transfer case.
Is that what you guys think?
Just have to figure out where the cable ties go :)

That sounds vaguely reminiscent of a defender ???
