Title: EXHAUST PIPE INTERMEDIATE 88 PETROL DIESEL>
Post by: Dutchie on February 07, 2017, 09:44 AM
So here we go, my pipe is rusted through for my 78 LWT and I try to figure out how to get a new one.
GEX 1373 changed to 264195 in Part number but if I look it says that it is for up to 1973 vehicles.
Can I use that pipe? don't want to bring it in and then it does not fit.
Or does anybody has an old spare laying around which is not rusted through.

Unless Mr. Bill wants to squeeze it into the sea can order, you are best off just going to a muffler shop.

The series 3 manual says.

244449: Diesel models up to September 1973
264195: Petrol models and Diesel models from October 1973 onwards.

Which does yours look like?  Google pictures, they are quite different.

Thanks John,

It looks like the 264195 so they have it wrong on the Brit Car website that's where I got it from. Cant wait for the sea can as mine is broken in half and driving without is not an option ( loud like hell  8). I contact Bill and see if we can get it shipped in by FedEx to your place.
Also need a few other things.

Thanks
