I don't think they ever used Land Rovers. Just neat
I saw one like that on eBay UK and was tempted to buy it. That was until price went insanely high for a toy.
My wife bought it for my BD
Could have used a LR a few times when I served in Manitoba
Newfoundland constabulary had one of the largest non-military fleets of land rovers once upon a time :)
One of the oldest police forces in North America and didn't carry guns
Started carrying guns in 1998.

You really can learn something new about Land Rovers every day!
They had a dealer in NFLD back in the 60s. My brother bought a new 109, poppy red in 1968. He had that for years. Did a lot of hunting. Great for hunting there as it's rugged country. said it was the most comfortable vehicle he ever had.
