Title: Something to never do with your project
Post by: Lightningpower on May 03, 2016, 06:28 PM
Hi everyone.

We all know we can be charged if we operate a motor vehicle without insurance and registration. Did you know the same fines are applicable to the person who PERMITS another to operate a vehicle without insurance or registration? I had someone test ride a bike that hadn't been registered or insured for 5 years and, after he crashed the motorcycle, we were both charged for these offences to tune of nearly $3300- each. (Plus a date with a judge.)

So, it's something to think about if someone wants to drive your jalopy down the road, even for a block. It doesn't matter if its a test-drive or a mechanic checking to see what the vehicle needs.

Yes. Insurance and registration fines are to the owner, not the driver.  Only owners can insure and register.

The nanny state strikes again.

They fscrewed everything up when they took away our 6-guns and replaced them with lawyers.  ;D
