Hahahahahahah.  Impressive that he got it out without pulling his bumper off.  Yeah, I don't know if irony is the right word - poetic justice?

Those orange discos on the back look like the ones owned by the Turkish brothers that are in the trailing videos.....

I find winching more effective than tugging and less damaging to the vehicle. Land Rover days last summer demonstrated that for me with some of the mud extractions that we did.
