BC has announced they are planning to deactivate the Rady Ck FSR near Gerard, BC (north shore of Trout Lake). And there is now push back from the public in an effort to listed to public feed back and rescind this decision. With the closure of Race Horse Pass and North Fork Pass on Alberta's side of the rockies by the provincial government we understand what this loss to access means.
If you would like to learn more about this trail and it's potential closure you can check out this youtube video:

They are doing this province wide. The government does not want to maintain the roads and bridges. The petition will do nothing. Every unused road is losing its budget and they don't want liability.
Racehorse is closed in BC, not Alberta and is a wildlife conservation issue. North Fork in Alberta because driving across a creek is evil.
