Title: 2026 Reynolds museum ultimate car show - July 11
Post by: Chris on March 24, 2026, 03:07 PM
Hello everyone!! we made a great turn out to the Reynolds museum car show last year, lets make an even bigger event this year!!
there are cars in attendance from every make, model and generation you can imagine, It's a fun day out with the group and walking around to see all the other cars is pretty great also.
gate opens at 730. I plan to meet in Leduc around 7, have breakfast (to be determined where) and convoy to Wetaskiwin around 745/8 once breakfast is done. Gates open at 10am for the public.
I will post a link for the event for you to register, it is free and includes admission to the museum for you and your passenger for the day.  for club name, fill out the complete name "Alberta Land Rover enthusiasts" and they will have us all parked together whether you arrive on your own, or in convoy.
please post that you are coming so we have numbers!! Thanks :)

I've got my 1986 110 and 1991 RRC both registered for the show, under the club name (for grouping).

Now all I need is a driver for one of my vehicles LOL

I completed my registration. I see that we are getting breakfast in Leduc. Any spot selected yet?
An item was discussed during the British field meet was related to distance and travel speed. I pointed out the convoy goes through back country paved roads at comfortable speeds for the cars. So no need to worry about doing a 100 km or 80 for that matter.

Does the club still have the awning and the flags?
Looking forward to a great gathering. Cheers

good day everyone!!
quick update, so we will meet in Leduc at 7am at the tutti frutti (41 athapaskan drive, leduc) its in the same parking lot as the Tim Hortons. we will probably leave around 8am-ish. drive highway 2A to wetaskiwin. it is a paved highway with a speed limit of 100km/h. however, we will travel at whatever speed we are comfortable at, there will be lots of classic cars on the road that day. once at the museum, we will all be guided to park together (except me lol) and enjoy the day from there. there is food vendors, visit the museum or just hangout until youre done for the day and ready to leave.

Bill - do you have a driver and are you going to bring the flags again?

Hi Chris (et al),

I have received a note from Reynolds Musuem that directly relates to our group.  Here it is:

The July 11, 2026 Ultimate Car Show is right around the corner!
To help get more that 600 show vehicles safely parked, we are assigning row letters and posting signs for car clubs.

Your registration indicates that your parking selection is Alberta Land Rover Enthusiasts and your
assigned row letter is J (see map below)

Arrival Details

Enter through the main gates to Reynolds Museum between 7:30 am and 9:30 am. Arrive early to help avoid long lineups.

Volunteers will direct you to one of two entrances onto the Display Field.

Row letters will be clearly indicated with markers at the end of each row.

Your registration indicates that your parking selection is Alberta Land Rover Enthusiasts Your assigned row letter is J (see attached map)

The gates to the Display Field will close promptly at 9:30 am.

Once you are parked, please check in at the Registration Tent.

For the safety of our guests, we ask that all participants remain on site until 4 pm.

If you must leave early due to an emergency, please contact one of our parking volunteers. They will help guide you out safely.

Sunshades
Sunshades are welcome, but they must be set up within a parking space beside your vehicle, not behind vehicles. This helps keep rows straight and ensures lanes remain clear. All sunshades must be properly secured.

Clubs
A sign with your club's name will be posted in your designated parking area.

Clubs are asked to arrive on site as a group.

NOTE:  Gathering in the main parking lot will no longer be permitted. If you need to reserve space in your reserved section for later arrivals, this will need to be managed within your group.

Not with a club?  If you are parking with a friend, please arrive together.  We encouraged you to park in your assigned row, but if you wish to park with someone else, feel free to do so.

Bringing a trailer?
Trailers will be directed to the East Field near the Outdoor Aviation Display for unloading.

What to Bring
Sunscreen
Insect repellent
Hat
Water

A donation for the Wetaskiwin Food Bank

Enthusiasm!

I don't have the club flags, but I've asked Dave and Isaac if either of them have the flags.    I'll try and bring them along.
