Title: Alas, I am Rover-less again.
Post by: xmod109 on March 01, 2026, 05:46 PM
Good day all. Just dropping in to let you know that after 2 years of trying to sell my 109, then telling everyone who asked that they weren't worthy or lacked the skills to look after her... I have finally sold it to someone who met all my criteria. The new owner has owned a rover in the past, asked all the right questions, wasn't surprised by oil leaks, 100 km/h steering wobbles or amazed that it had neither power steering or cruise control.
She has shipped off to her new home in the Yukon to live out her days driving where I wouldn't mind being.. in the summer anyways. And I won't have to see her driving around the city, unless I go up to visit.

And with that, I am without a Rover again and can't see myself getting another for a while. So I bid ALRE adieu, some of the greatest bunch I have ever had the pleasure to associate with. Take care, drive safe and who knows... I may get another in the future, but probably with power steering, cruise control, a warm cab in the winter and comfy seats.
