The Great Pumpkin Regatta and dog run.......
Last fall we did an overnite camp north of Lac La Biche, on the old Conklin wagon trail and had a blast doing it. "One last hurrah" of the season... so to speak". It was so much fun I'm toying with the idea of doing that again on the Sat/Sun of the long weekend.
The plan is: We'll drive up Saturday Oct 12 in the morning, drive the trails in the area, camp overnight, drive a few more trails in the morning and return Sunday, Oct 13th in the afternoon. Maybe even organise a potluck dinner for Saturday evening. Back in plenty of time for the thanksgiving feast! Bring your boat (canoe, kayak, inflatable, paddle board, etc.) and bring your dog along too....with a couple of towels hahhahhahah The water's fine!!!
It's about 3 hours up there from Edmonton and the last fuel stop is located on the SE corner of Lac La Biche (the lake, not the town). This is a trip with minimal risk to the vehicle body, on Sand and Gravel tracks. Lots of opportunity to see wildlife in this area too.
If you are interested please let me know so we can make some plans.........PM or post here.
SORRY FOLKS BUT NO INTEREST, SO THE EVENT IS CANCELLED
