I have a 2003 discovery, I replaced the battery with a AGM battery. Everything seemed fine, but it wouldn't hold a charge. I charged it several times but nothing worked. I took it back to Canadian tire, they tested it and it was no good. They gave me a new battery.
Now the key is stuck in the ignition, when I turn the key on there is a yellow warning light that comes on it is two circles one smaller than the other. #32. I believe it a security problem related the battery, removing it, charging it etc. I tried a suggestion, locking and unlocking the door each time I rotated the key the horn honked? I read another suggestion that I should turn the key on to the first position and leave it for 10 minutes, another suggestion is to disconnect the battery and connect a small wire between the positive battery wire and the negative battery wire.
Any help would be appreciated.

ooooooooh the evils of electrickery......
I'm sorry I can't help with this but I'm watching the thread to find out what the solution maybe.
If you do the wire between the positive and negative wire, it'll drain all the power from the ECM/BCM, basically doing a total reset, it might work. Iv done this once on an motorcycle. Just make sure that battery isn't anywhere near there just in case 😅
Thanks Chris
I disconnected the battery wires and left the it overnight, I will go out this morning and see what happened. I'm temped to try connecting a wire from positive to negative,Scotty on YouTube suggested the same thing but he warn it might erase a code, I think that might mean the EKA code that would make it worse. I will let you know if simply disconnecting them works
I make the same mistake again and again. Discovery 11 take LEAD ACID BATTERYS not AGM.
My 2003 is 21 years old ( helping it with hi tech or synthetic lubricants does not help). I'll stick with the original from now on.
An AGM is a lead acid battery. There is no functional difference.
My Disco 2 has had an AGM battery for 6 or 8 years now without any trouble.
Yes a AGM battery is a lead acid battery, but they don't recharge if they are depleted more than 50% that is the problem. AGM is different that is why you have to charge it with a AGM charger. If your truck has no electrical issues My discovery is a 2003 and has some issues that I'm working on. I bought a new lead acid battery from Gary at TRS, they don't put AGM battery's in disco's
They re-charge if fully depleted just like a flooded battery. You are getting bad advice.
