If you are interested in coming out for this event contact Chris at c_hkraemer@yahoo.ca
He will organize the breakfast meet up and will need to know who's coming (with how many) to plan for the group lunch.
Let me be the first....I'll be there. Hopefully with the RRC and the 110!!!!
Looking forward to seeing the RRC!! I have you written down.
when you register, register as "Alberta Land Rover Enthusiasts" during your registration, it will ask you questions about your vehicle, once we arrive in convoy together (I will post meet times and where to meet closer too, but we will meet for breakfast and head out, you can meet us at location after breakfast if you do not want breakfast) once we arrive we will be assigned to our spot, or go find our own, I have not been given clarity on this yet, still waiting, but either way we will be together. then we will get a a laminated card with all the info we filled in during registration to place on our windshield or wherever. as far as lunch goes, I am still working out if I am allowed to just bring a BBQ and propane and have us a nice BBQ, Ill bring my fridge for condiments and pops. If we are not allowed to have the BBQ, the cafeteria will be open at the museum along with various food trucks. though im hoping we can just make our own delicious foods!!
this being said, sounds like there will be a few other off road groups going for us to go check out, as well as last time I went to this, there was a lot of amazing classic cars along with all the neat stuff at the museum.
Spoke with someone from the event, we will all park together as we will arrive together, unfortunately they did say due to liability we cannot have any kind BBQ or anything like that, which I get, still sucks though. As mentioned there are food vendors on site for the taking
friendly reminder this event is coming up in july, by the sounds of it there is going to be a ton of classic cars and overland vehicles. registration is free, remember to register as "Alberta Land Rover enthusiasts" and we will see you there!!
working late every evening trying to get my Rover ready to attend this show. Got the fuel system buttoned up and exhaust in last night. Getting the interior in tonight. A few clean up items and off for inspection next week.

Sounds great! See you there
Reynolds museum information:
The museum would like participants to arrive between 730am and 930am. I'm thinking arriving around 9am is a good time, since we can park on the grass for overflow if needed.
We will arrive in convoy after getting breakfast.
I'd like to meet in Leduc at Tutti Frutti around 730 as it's a nice casual 2 lane highway drive on the way there. We travel at the speed of the slowest vehicle.
July 13th.
Meet at Tutti Frutti (41 Athapaskan Dr, Leduc, AB) this restaurant is attached to a retirement complex, so im sure the folks will absolutely love the old rovers coming in. Be there at 730 or slightly before, please message me how many people you will have with you so i can call them and let them know how many will be there for breakfast. We leave around 830. (Breakfast is not mandatory, you can meet us there at 830 or at the museum if you wish)
At 830 we head south on highway 2A to wetaskiwin.
There will be food trucks for lunch, but please bring snacks. I'll have my fridge, ill fill it with some water bottles and such. Bring lawn chairs to relax. We will decide as a group when to check out the museum and stuff.
The event is until 4, they would like participants to stay until then, however I don't think it's mandatory to stay 6hours.
- to bill, do you have the ALRE banner? Or know who I can get in touch with to grab it for the event?
Side note, if you haven't registered! There's still time:)
I sent Melissa (Reynold's Museum) to ask if I could do a late registration and she was most accommodating. I've got the 1986 110 to take and the newly restored 1991 RRC to get to the show. Now....just to get someone to take one of the vehicles for me LOL
Should be a good show....

Hey Bill, I can get Winney to drive the D3, I'd be happy to drive one of yours there?

We had a great time yesterday. Was a great first trip for tge Rover. I even made it home with my duct taped charge pipe off the turbo. Thanks to everyone. Cheers
Glad you made it home with the charge pipe! Look forward to seeing the 2A out again!
Great photos Chris!!! I was hoping to see a pic of the two junior mechanics under your LR3 LOL
We had a decent turn out and it was great to see Kevin and Mike. Mike's 110 looked just like mine when I first got it...memories. And the VW diesel install that Kevin did was most impressive. Hoping to sit down at one of the gatherings and learn more about the process he went through.
We had a good cross section of vehicles there too. With a little luck maybe we can get a few more of the series, military and disco's next year. Show the evolution of the brand ;-)
Great to see so many folks interested in our beasts of burden. Especially the surprise visit from Bjorn and Brenda....it's been a long time but they are both looking well.
I'll try finding some modern LRs on the Facebook pages and bring them over to the forums 😅😅
The photos should be in there now, I added a couple more.
Yup...thems the ones LOL
