Title: Unusual Series 2 headlights

Maybe somebody would have info on these lights apparently from a UK military series 2. 88 l can't see nothing on the net  they do just fit either side of the grill   Anyone?

I feel like those where made to fit to the front of the wings perhaps? I don't seen how they would fit in the grill.

Are there any mods to the bumper?  I wonder if there was some sort of attachment (snow blade for example) that obstructed the headlights, and this was the workaround?
