That's the one I've been looking at.   Might have to see if it can be rebuilt locally...... ???

I'm wondering if a 24 Volt starter from a 2.25 gas engine is any different to the 2.25 diesel starter?
Any one know??

I could be wrong but I always thought they were the same?

They could be but from what I read, a gas starter would not turn diesel engine over fast enough.
If Claus was closer I'd do the swap and test it out.

Claus says he has starter on order from UK.

As far as I can tell, they spec a different starter for gas and diesel in the 12V models, with one must assume, more grunt in the diesel version.  It looks like the 24V volt starter is the same model for both engines.  If one was getting a 12V starter, I would just suggest going to Rocky Mountain.
