Medicine Hat Sampede Parade (July 22nd) will be having a Lode Lane participant this year in the classic shape of my white (elephant) Series III 88" Land Rover pulling a float/mobile sign for my wife's store "The Peacock's Feather".
Sounds good until you realize the 88" has been sat neglected in a field for the last 20 years. So a very quick mechanical refurbishment is in order along with stripping of the roof and a fast-n-dirty paint job to make it parade ready to strut it's stuff.
Hoping to 'rope' in some of Med Hat gang to lend a hand getting the old Gal ready for her big day.
Yeeee Haaaaw!
Watch this space for updates.
Marking the streets of the HAT as any good elephant would ;D
Here she is. Not too bad condition.

other then the breakfast grille it looks a lovely little landy!!!!!
Don't let the Blurry photo at 20' away fool you, she's a little rough. I like to call it 'careworn' but abandoned would be more accurate.
First job is to fit a fuel tank that doesn't leak and then see if she starts.
