Title: Carb help
Post by: Gardenome on September 18, 2018, 04:26 PM
Found my carb to be all full of crud so took it all apart to clean it up and now we're struggling to run. Idles fine but tries to stall if I hit the gas ( even stationary) and struggles to get down the road.  Willing to come to you.

I think I gave Dave my spare carbs but I'll have a look.

Make sure the timing is correct and increase the idle mixture.

I don't think I need a new carb. I need help setting it and making sure I put it back together correctly.

Sounds like you have an accelerator pump problem to me.

I agree. New rubber parts installed but I'm worried I'm either not setting it up correctly or it's put together wrong.
