Title: Defender 110 Rear Quarter-fender guards
Post by: Trevor on May 08, 2015, 03:45 PM
Can anyone recommend rear quarter-fender guards for 110's. Extreme 4X4 has one type...

...but it is more of a step and guard, whereas I would prefer just a guard for that exposed area behind the rear wheel. I like Extreme's stuff and have used a fair bit of it...rock solid gear, so I'm not ruling it out.

Kinda prefer just a guard though.

I have ones like that on my 90, not very good as steps but great for protecting the rear corners of the 90.

Those look like take-offs of the military guards I have on my 110 Trevor.  But I have a flat plate on the rear for 'braille parking' in city lots.   I have hung my truck up on those and not damaged anything.   But they would make a great starting point for something beefier if you wanted to play with the welder ;-)

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'll keep poking around, the Extreme's are looking to be a pretty solid option...surprisingly limited choices for these as well, which surprised me.

Johno, I checked Corsetti's site and I am not seeing any guards. He seems to be making mostly diff and steering guards.

Like these from First Four?

Look a bit short on a 110 because I think they are really for a 90 but if you like that general idea I would take it along to a local welding shop and have them custom build you a set. Then you can have exactly what you want. Probably only take a couple of hours and with the oilfield slow down they might be glad of the work.

Thanks guys, some good options there. I've thought about having a set fabbed up here, but if I can find something off the shelf that would be my first choice.

I didn't realize Corsetti had that much equipment. If you find an english supplier definitely post it here Johno. I'm not having any luck finding other links.

These folks handle some of corsetti's gear.    At least they have the corner bumperettes.   I just realized......they are only an hour a bit from the cottage....hmmmmmmmm

I know a year ago, but I'm not sure if you have seen this guy's work.  Expensive, but really nice...  He has just started doing the corner guards and made me think of this thread.

They look really good.

On a side note I found it a little ironic he has his rock guards set out on a blanket so he doesn't scratch them.  :o
