Title: taxes, windshield wiper blades, and other robberies.
Post by: ugly_90 on August 11, 2022, 05:33 PM
My last set of 13" windshield wiper blades split on the 90. They lasted a few years, but it was an indicator of rarity that they were in yellowed and faded Napa packages, in the surplus section at Princess Auto.

No longer at this Princess Auto in the 13". Over to Napa, prices are ridiculous, and they can't supply a matching steel-body simple wiper. Canadian Tire, even more ridiculous. $28 or more for some wiper blades, I don't know what you get for that. No 13", except for rear blades, which may have different mounting.

Finally, after a run around town. Walmart sells the RainX 12" wiper for around $14/ea. I've seen RainX at Costco here, but not in the 13".

A big hassle, but finally found them in town. Probably worth keeping a few sets on hand under a bulk order, as they don't seem to be as popular a size anymore. Walmart saved me, maybe because some of their customers might drive an older wreck.

I add Trico ones to parts orders. They are around $3. Change them every year.
