Title: Dimmer Switch
Post by: Already a Rover on June 14, 2017, 09:12 PM
Hi.  Anybody close to Calgary have a dimmer switch for a Series 2 lying-around?  I kinda need it for the weekend.

Mine was acting-up and when I finally got it out, one corroded terminal fell-off.

Or failing that, suggestions on something else I could use?  The dimmer from my '67 Volvo will not fit.

This https://www.lrdirect.com/RTC432-Dipswitch-Ser-2A/ ?  My memory is that most domestic cars had floor dip switches prior to the eighties, so a trip to the junkyard or auto parts store would find something that would work.  They all look like that from what I recall.

Here is an example that shows models to look for.  http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Headlight-Headlamp-Floor-Mounted-High-Beam-Dimmer-Switch-for-Ford-Lincoln-/220864359474  Shows all Ford trucks and vans 1975 to 1994.
