bell housing inspection cover (series 2a)

I am in need of a cover for my series 2a bellhousing that goes here...

Can't be that hard to make a cardboard template and then transfer shape to thin steel plate??

Maybe I could make an aluminum or stainless cover

I will take pictures of the hand polished SS cover plate and hang them from the rear view mirror for all to see   8)
