Mine is now too short

 Advice needed: 

I have put RM parabolic springs on my 2a but now the front prop shaft is too short by about 1/2" when the axle is freely hanging with no wheels on.  When the vehicle is back on its wheels the shaft fits.  Not wishing to have my suspension travel severly limited by the prop length, does any one have ideas?

My best idea so far is to have the existing shaft modifeid with a much longer spline.

Normally the axle travel extension is limited by check straps.  If you want more travel then you would need a different shaft.  I would get a Tom Woods one made if you went that route.
