A Suprcharged V8 Range Rover Sport has won the Four Wheeler Magazine 'four wheeler of the year' award again. With a diesel powered RRS taking second place.
There was only three contestants though, third place going to a Jeep Grand Cherokee V6 Laredo.
Toyota's Land Cruiser, though eligible, declined its invite to the magazines annual expensive SUV party.
Odd that the list was that short. Wonder why Porche, BMW or Merc weren't involved?
They usually only test new model releases.
To qualify for the award a vehicle must have a two speed transfer case and be either all new or substantially revised existing model, have a production run of at least 1500 units and be available for sale in the USA.
Ah, ok, that explains it then. I don't think any of those brands have new models out this year.
