I finally caught up with a foreign expedition truck travelling on the Alaska Highway. This one was stopped at the visitor centre in Dawson Creek, BC; Mile 0 of the Alaska Highway.

The driver was Richard, from Germany, travelling to Inuvik with his wife. I asked if he was part of a larger group; he wasn't. He planned to make a stop in Alaska as well.

He had the Unimog loaded in Hamburg, and shipped to Halifax, where he later met it.

Haven't seen any Landy's on the same trip yet.

Quite the rig. Very nice!

Richard may even be able to drive to Tuktoyaktuk if the all weather road is open.  Tuk would be like going to Timbuktu, a place many of us hear about but don't really know where it is.  :D
