Title: Where to get a 1958-1964 8 bolt water pump rebuilt?
Post by: robindawilliams on July 14, 2022, 09:27 AM
I have a '59 land rover with the 1958-1964 8-bolt water pump (not something that is easily available online). I am just about finished with a full engine rebuild, but after trying to pull the pump apart they are apprehensive about getting more aggressive for the risk of breaking a part they can't easily replace. Is there a company in NA or out of the UK that I can exchange for a refurb'd pump or that is more confident in rebuilding this one?

Mine is actually not in terrible condition, but i'd hate to put a tired part on a factory-fresh engine that'll need to be replaced/rebuilt in the future anyways.

I am running into this problems all the time with my 24 Volt, most of the time if I need anything in that direction I am going onto E Bay UK and so far got lucky every time just picked up a 24 V starter that way.
