Up for sale are 2 Discovery 1's.  The idea was to build a camping and offroad vehicle with enough space for the whole family, comfortable to take on longer trips.  The Series doesn't fit that bill at all as it's only got 2 seats, little storage space and is not what most would consider comfortable.

The reason there are 2 for sale is that I bought one as a running 'low mileage' base and the other was a donor for the off road parts.  The parts donor apparently ran just prior to me buying it but I've never seen it run.  I have a sneaking suspicion that there is something going on with the immobilizer I've read about as it won't even let the starter crank.  All that being said, I've never actually tried to get it going other than turning the key.  As for details:

    • Newer all season tires
    • Brand new battery
    • Never off road
    • Front brakes upgraded to 110 solid rotor
    • Rear brakes new
    • New Timken bearings and seals in front hubs and swivels
    • Front AC and aux Rear AC
    • Genuine LR hitch with 4/7 pin plug
    • Good glass all around
       
      Bad
           
      • AC worked when I bought it, but doesn't blow cold now
      • Passenger rear door window doesn't respond to central controls
      • Power seat controls work, but the tabs holding them in broke off
      • Never off road (t-case had never been locked or in low so it was stiff, works now)
      • ABS light is on, even though I've experienced it working
      • No services done (oils, filters, etc)
      • Sunroof leaks
      • Front AC and aux Rear AC
      • vacuum leaks

          • Body looks good from 100 yards
          • Brake booster and master removed to fix the 1998 above
          • Body rust
          • Bumpers and sliders REALLY need to be sandblasted and painted
          • No battery (it died)
          • Most of the rear interior is removed
