Title: a landrover with a pedigree
Post by: binch on March 24, 2016, 03:14 AM
Every once in a while there's a land rover of character that appears out of the blue....this is one of those Landies

Longair did a great job on that restoration. Good story too, that's indeed a vehicle with a cool story behind it!

Great to read the vehicle is destined to be exhibited and used as a tool to encourage exploration and adventure to young people.

All to often significant vehicles are bought up by the super wealthy and never seen in the wild again. Churchhill's Series One and the last production Defender being recent Land Rover examples.

Vehicles like these prove Adventure needs nothing more than a 4wd, a general direction of travel and a couple of Jerry cans marked "Gin" and "Tonic".

Classic!
